AUDIO SIGNAL PROCESSING

There are several digital signal processing techniques to analyze the image, sound and other sources of information according to our application. One of the signal-processing techniques that categorized under sound processing is Audio Signal Processing. Compared to other source of information, the effect of basic DSP operations are clearly noticeable in sound signals.

Audio signal processing includes wide variety of effects and filtering techniques. In this project we have implemented various techniques to explore different effects of sound, all of which comprises Audio Signal Processing. The various effects, we synthesized are 

1. Echo
a. Echo
b. Multiple Echo
2. Three different kind of Reverberation
3. Flanging
4. Equalizer
5. Fading
a. Fade-in
b. Fade-out
6. Pitch Shifting
                             
All these effects are created using more general techniques that can be implemented in any systems. Also the analysis of each effect has been included in this project.

In this project, first a sample speech signal has been stored as a “.WAV” file. On, running this project, we should give the path to the location of the file to be processed. After the path has been given, a menu will be displayed, containing all the effects that we have programmed. On clicking the required effect, we will be able to hear the speech with the effect that was implemented in the speech signal.
